Night Shift: Last Customer
A downloadable game for Windows
V0.9 Expansion Test is available
A bigger store with five shopping aisles, a separate security room, optional jobs, a wandering stranger, decorations and a midnight-to-dawn cycle.
Refill two different assigned aisles each night. Coffee prices rise with each cup, Nightmare has no passive sanity recovery, and leaving the store dark attracts trouble. Lights are ON/OFF, CCTV can be closed, and opening menus no longer increases the background music.
The printer knows what happens next.
Midnight Mart needs a night clerk. Scan the groceries. Keep the shelves stocked. Decide which customers are still human.
Then the till prints a receipt for something that has not happened yet: a power failure, an unregistered visitor, a missing employee. The next name on the paper could be yours.
Work the shift. Change the next line.
Follow the warnings through the shop, stockroom and forecourt. Investigate a returned parcel, recover an employee’s note and venture outside to the backup generator. The store keeps asking for ordinary work. The receipts keep making it personal.
When the visitor enters, it follows sight and sound. Turn off your torch, break its line of sight and find a hiding place. Throw a can to lead it away, or lower the stockroom shutter—and remember that it blocks you too.
Management would like to remind you that time spent on exorcisms is unpaid.

Before you clock in
Download the ZIP, extract it and run NightShift.exe. No editor or internet connection is needed. Esc pauses, Tab opens the handbook and J opens your receipts. The first customer is human. After that, pay attention.
Horror content: sudden appearances, dark scenes and flickering lights. Jump-scare intensity can be set to Off, Low or Intense. The story’s hunter and supernatural customers remain when surprise encounters are turned off.
